Delish Fruit Dip

Minus the time we told you to heat bacon and serve, this might be the easiest recipe ever.  This is an awesome treat - and this dip is great inside, on, or next to pancakes or swedish pancakes.  It's also great with just some strawberries, blueberries, canalope, watermelon, etc., etc., etc.  it's also good with grapes!

So, this is my kid's favorite party faire- if we're going to a party with kids or Mrs. Hatten, we're totally going to be eating this dip.

Fresh Fruit Dip
8 ounces Marshmallow Fluff
8 ounce container whipped cream cheese - berry flavored

fold whipped cream cheese into fluff.
refrigerate until ready to serve
insert spoon and stand back!

Walgreens Granola

After reading all the benefits of oat a few weeks ago, I am trying to include oats in my diet very often. A great easy and healthy snack is oats and the easiest way to eat oats is in granola. I usually make my granola with brown sugar, but decided to try honey instead, and the granola came out great! Sweet nutty flavor, but not too sugary sweet
The proces is a bit laborsome, but the results are worth it!

Ingredients:
6 cups rolled oats $1.20
1/3 cup oil
3/4 honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon .02
salt .02
1/2 cup walnuts $1.20
1/2 cup cranberries .50
1/2 cup raisins .50

heat oil in honey in a pan or microwave
mix into oats, cinnamon, making sure oats are thoroughly coated
bake at 350 for 45 minutes, tossing in pan every 15 minutes
add walnuts, bake another 15 minutes, remove from oven, pour into another baking pan, and let sit atleast an hour
add fruit and store in a airtight container

Yogurt Pick Me Up any time of day $1,79

I have been a little off kilter with my stomach lately, its my highly acidic stomach, that tends to act up occasionally. When this happens, I usually eat some yogurt, infact when Im dilegent, I eat yogurt everyday, it is known to kill bad bacteria, and keeps my stomach feeling good. I make a meal out of it with some fruit and some cereal(the cereal gives it some crunch and flavor) not to mention vitamins and fiber!! My favorite cereal was on sale at Walgreens, so I decided to buy my whole "meal" there.
The cereal was on sale for $1.99/12.25 oz box 1/4 cup .20
yogurt 6 oz .99
pinapple $1.89 1/4 c .25
mandarin oranges $1.79 1/4 c .35
Total $1.79
mix all ingredients together, or layer the ingredients
This snack is loaded with calcium, vitamin A, B6, C, D, iron, fiber, and protein
btw, as we have mentioned there are lots of sales at Walgreens, as there are at most convenient stores, the challenge is to look for them. The cereal was a great price, I have payed over $4.00 for this cereal at times, if a manufacture coupon is used, even better. So even though the yogurt and fruit wasnt on sale, and could have been purchased at a better price, Walgreens was just so much more convenient. Time and gas as well sometimes are a very big factor in my life, and if it meant going to another store today, I wouldnt have gone. I never tire of that yogurt parfait, Ill be having another tomorrow, with ingredients oplenty leftover.
